Historically, the fashion industry has disposed of unused or surplus fabrics by sending them to be incinerated, or worse, to landfill sites.

From day one, I decided that if there was to be another fashion brand in the world, then every Fly By Night NYC piece would be authentically sustainable, ethically responsible and built from rescued fabrics.

Working with vintage and dead-stock designer fabrics that can be in short-supply, has become an integral part of my design process, often determining the final look and style of each piece, from the collar to the cuff, or in most cases, from the dress, to the blouse, to the crown.
